Let’s jump in!

🌟 Foodie Spotlight

You might have seen this from Zermatt Neo’s videos, today’s spotlight is…

Neighbourwok’s Hokkien Mee! (If you’re in Bukit Batok, don’t miss this one)

The noodles are comforting and super umami with the perfect blend of prawns, squid, and pork belly (plus I loved the sambal chili). This hokkien mee is on the wetter side, which I liked… and the wok hei was just right.

The $6 portion was really generous and satisfying, definitely worth the queues. I’d be a regular if I lived nearby!

🖐️ Top Picks of The Week!

While these are my top picks, I’d love to hear yours by replying to the email with your favourite places for me to try!

Maji Curry at Novena (Link) 🍛

Of course I have to include a Japanese spot! Maji Curry specializes in Japanese curry rice, with rooftop seating for a chill hangout. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and it’s a great spot for lunch or dinner!

Kafe Utu @ Chinatown (Link) 🦒

Kafe Utu is Singapore’s first African-themed cafe (and I was super intrigued when I heard about it). Really nice food that you can go for a dinner and drinks spot with unique cocktails, but also has super good coffee for the daytime.

Keng Eng Kee Seafood @ Alexandra (Link) 🐟️

This Zi Char hot spot also has outlets in Tampines and Punggol! I loved the hor fun, salted egg prawns, and coffee pork ribs. Super good zi char without the hype of the big-name seafood places, so it’s great secret to keep 😄

BistrOne36 at Boon Keng (Link) 🍗

This women-owned bistro is a real neighbourhood secret brunch spot. Perfect if you're craving a local-meets-Western fusion, with good portions and a great vibe. Plus, their coffee and desserts get rave reviews, perfect for a chill catch-up.

🗞️ What’s Newsworthy

If you guys didn’t know, GastroBeats is back and it’s literally the place to be right now!

It’s running until 22 June 2025, 4pm to 11pm at Bayfront Event Space (yes, the one right by the Marina Bay, super IG-worthy). So you’ve got almost a whole month to eat, chill, and repeat!

If you’re paying a visit, I’d highly recommend trying the social media star Jett Barbecue’s Dino Ribs. SUPER juicy and tender!

🥳 That’s a Wrap!

Glad you made it to the end of the newsletter!

I always want to improve my content, and I’d love to hear your feedback or recommendations simply by replying to this email.

If not have a great weekend, and let me know if you try any of the food! 😃

See you,
